Demi Lovato Wants Obama to End Iraq War Now

Disney star Demi Lovato is confident Barack Obama will bring the changes necessary to our country, reports the Associated Press:

“Well, our economic system is in a crisis right now,” Lovato, 16, said Friday in an interview. “I definitely hope that that will change. Also … I hope that the war resolves. Whether we win or lose or whatever, it doesn’t matter. I hope that it just ends. So you know, I think that Barack Obama will be able to help us.”

Lovato is set to play a pre-inauguration concert on Monday night in D.C. that will air on the Disney Channel, and also features the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and Bow Wow. The texas native said that she hopes the president-elect will be watching the event.

“That will be the coolest thing, if Obama was watching,” she said, laughing. “I think his family will be there. It would be even cooler if they were all there. But definitely, it’s an honor that they even know who I am. It’s awesome.”

She also gave some words of wisdom to the future first-daughters Sasha and Malia:

“I would give them definitely the advice to always know that your family is there for you. You can go to your family with anything,” she said. “And also, don’t forget who you are. I think that’s a mistake that a lot of people make. And it’s something that my family keeps me from making.”

And finally: “Just don’t stop going places just because people might see you. And don’t stop having sleepovers with your friends, and don’t stop trick-or-treating.”
